Mediated Learning In & Out of Classroom and/or Instrumental Enrichment Level I Workshop Summer 2007
*an intensive training workshop for teachers & parents*
What is Instrumental Enrichment? (IE)
IE are paper and pencil exercises designed to develop your students' cognitive functions, the ability to learn and become independent thinkers, and to foster intrinsic motivation. All children have the potential to change if provided with the opportunities to engage in the right kind of interaction. This "right kind of interaction" is mediated learning, and is at the core of the IE program.
The benefits of IE
- unlock a child's potential
- encourage independent learning
- promote the use of effective thinking skills
- analyze a child's cognitive strengths and weaknesses
- encourage metacognition-"thinking about thinking"

What educators are saying about TCML's 2006 Workshop:
Its like a window into the mind of the child, allowing you to hone
specific strategies to target specific issues; There’s no feeling
as thrilling as having a student think about the solution to his/her
problem after having been guided to think like that; I found the IE
teacher’s workshop so fascinating and so relevant and helpful
to my teaching.
Miriam - Elementary School Teacher
I found it so amazing that the “principles” are so simple
to implement in a regular classroom setting – and yet make sure
a major difference to each individual student, Thank you!
Chana - Junior School Teacher
What I learned from TCML, I will take with me my whole life, as
a teacher, a mother, and as an individual. Thank you for teaching
me all you know!
Shira - High School Teacher
